JOB DESCRIPTION

 

The function of the Business Development Manager is to identify and develop new business leads and to maintain and grow existing accounts.  

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT 

 

  • Bachelor's degree/diploma or equivalent experience in Business Development
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience working in sales, business development, or related field

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

  • The main role is to achieve sales targets as set per the commission structure 

  • Account Management

  • Responsible for delivery of internal and external sales

  • Full understanding of SAGE ERP

  • Responsible for achievement of sales targets and margin associated with each deal

  • Accountable to meet with customers on a regular basis

  • Accountable to identify new business opportunities & cold calling

  • Accountable for delivery of proposals and quotes

  • Responsible for following up on customer leads

  • Responsible to provide ongoing feedback on lead times to customers to ensure a smooth transition on delivery of hardware

  • Responsible to provide ongoing feedback to Director Channel Sales, MD and Tactile Technologies Chairman with regards to all sales, marketing and general updates

  • Responsible to ensure that the internal sales tracking platform is updated daily / weekly / monthly with all opportunities and leads until closure

  • Accountable for consignment management

  • Responsible to deliver weekly forecasts to the procurement department in line with all sales opportunities

  • Understanding of market trends and requirements for new and existing business

  • Responsible to maintain and grow existing accounts

  • Responsible for support of national and international distribution channels

  • Responsible for representing the business through various engagement strategies

  • Responsible for support for all marketing activities

  • The ability to organise and hold various training sessions on products and applications

  • The ability to provide feedback on buying patterns of customers in a geographical area

  • The ability to provide ideas to increase sales within your area of responsibility
