The four colours represent the way we, as independent, working adults, are and will always be linked to the other three groups: the elderly, children and animals.
The colours also represent the vibrancy of African diversity and culture.
Londisizwe Foundation was created in 2017 as a way to give back to the community.
The Foundation is solely supported by the company Tactile Technologies and its founder Mauro Mercuri. Tactile Technologies has been supporting various charity projects in the past years and Londisizwe Foundation was created to formalize their commitment and expand the support to those in need.
Londisizwe Foundation focuses mainly in the South African causes, mostly with projects oriented to help the children, the elderly and the animals in need.
The four colors woven together in our logo represent that we, as independent adults, are and will always be linked to the other three groups: The children, the elderly and the animals.
Womandla Foundation
At Tactile Technologies, our commitment to giving back takes a meaningful step forward with a focus on empowering women in South Africa. Through our foundation, Londisizwe Foundation, we’ve allocated funds to support Womandla Foundation’s incredible initiatives. Stay tuned for the positive impact we’re set to make together!
Womandla Foundation was established in 2018, they aim to foster, facilitate, educate, empower and equip women and girls and the larger community with vision, purpose and to attain the highest degree of excellence in various spheres of education for the enablement to eliminate the deprivation of poverty.
In 2018, the Londisizwe Foundation responded to a plea for donations to have 4 lion cubs rescued from captivity in Ukraine.
These lions were born and bred into freezing conditions, only to be kept in a crate enclosure for the Circus in Ukraine. In conjunction with the Lawrence Anthony Earth Organization, Lionel de Lange and many other sponsors and donors, these lions were successfully rescued and transported to the Kragga Kamma Game Park in PE.
The lions sustained a few injuries during transit, which they have now successfully recovered. Berms were built for them to climb on-which they thoroughly enjoy , to say the least. It’s such a pleasure to see them run freely across the entire enclosure of the park. They have grown so much and equally picked up weight. The lion’s natural instinct has now also come to the fore when it comes to their hunting capabilities.
Soon it will be 2 years since these lions have touched down on South African soil and they have settled in very well. They are fed regularly, dosed for parasites regularly and completely and utterly been re-wilded.
These gorgeous images are indicative of how these lions have been transformed.
