Last Monday, Tactile Technologies was presented with FEC’s Excellent Sales Growth Award for 2016. The award was handed out at the bi-annual FEC Global Partner Conference, which was held in Koh Samui, Thailand.
Tactile’s head of channel sales, Anthony Shumba, was present to accept the award on Tactile’s behalf.
The latest accolade follows the recognition Tactile Technologies received last year when they were awarded a Business Development Award from FEC. Tactile has been an FEC distributor for Southern Africa since 2011.
According to Mauro Mercuri, group director for Tactile Technologies, the company has had major successes with the FEC product range in point-of-sale (POS) and hospitality. “Our key customer and long-time partner MICROS SA is deploying a substantial amount of FEC all-in-ones into their client base, which includes known brands such as KFC, Starbucks, Burger King and others.”
He adds that within the retail space, Tactile Technologies was recently selected as preferred touch screen supplier to Cape Union Mart using an FEC all-in-one platform. Their partnership with Cape Union Mart follows their existing deployments Shoprite and Mr Price, which have been in place for several years now.
“Tactile Technologies is a top POS distributor in South Africa,” said Chris Lai, FEC sales director. “Sales have grown 300% over the last 24 months. They fully deserve the award for Excellent Sales Growth. FEC is proud to have its products used by industry icons such as Mr Price, Micros and Cape Union Mart.”
FEC is a well-established global player in the POS- and retail industry. FEC’s product range focuses on point-of-sale applications. Some of their newer products can also be used for other apps.
For Mercuri, the momentum doesn’t stop here. Tactile has several interesting opportunities in the pipeline, both in hospitality and retail over the next few years.
