“Even in these economically difficult times, Tactile Technologies is thriving and keeps on growing its revenue and it’s all thanks to our portfolio diversification. We are generating turnover from new markets and applications, yet at the same time our core business keeps on performing well,” says Mauro Mercuri, Tactile Technologies Group Director.
There is no doubt that Tactile is climbing the ladder at a staggering pace, seeing that in the last three months, Tactile has been awarded projects of more than R170 million, with deployment already initiated.
“The new business comes mainly from Android-focused products as well as mobility products. Over time, we have gathered a wealth of knowledge on these technologies and it allows us to once again stand by our customers with their projects and guide them from the development phase up to installation and support stages,” Mercuri adds.
Not forgetting that in the retail space, Tactile continues to gain the trust of more and more channel players and end-users. A variety of projects are gaining momentum for which Tactile can act as a true one-stop shop, as it concerns different applications, and offers uniformity in technology, hardware and support. This ultimately keeps the cost of ownership to an absolute minimum.
In all this transition, Tactile’s staff complement has grown to over 30 people and the outlook is to further strengthen the team. “I must say Tactile is excited about having discovered lots of young talent which not only strengthens our team but also further allows us to grow the business,” comments Mercuri.
Tactile staff are highly professional when it comes to matching up a customer’s needs with the technologies and solutions available, and it’s all thanks to their unmatched in-house knowledge, expertise and skill base.
More new products are being evaluated and after taking on distribution for CITIZEN printers, more new partnerships are expected to be announced in 2018 and 2019. Tactile Technologies has an impressive client list and over the years it has successfully cemented its presence in the market.
